Maternal and Child Health

The Maternal and Child Health (MCH) team at CFHC includes an OB/GYN physician, nurse case managers, outreach workers, breast-feeding counselors and clerks — all dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of mothers and their children.

Funded by the federal Healthy Start program, our MCH services focus on case management and outreach to encourage women to begin prenatal care during the first trimester of pregnancy and to continue care for themselves and their babies through postpartum and newborn return visits.

In addition, our providers go into the community to promote early prenatal care and provide pregnancy prevention and safe sex seminars in area high schools.
