CFHC opens new Roseland site
March 21, 2008
After more than a year-and-a-half of serving patients in the Roseland Community Hospital, the Roseland clinic site has moved directly across the street into a new medical office complex. The new location allows for more capacity with 12 exam rooms, as well as space for the Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and other support staff. An open house will be held at the site on Friday, March 28, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The event will honor Mayor Richard M. Daley, 34th Ward Alderman Carrie Austin and State Representative (28th District-D) Robert “Bob” Rita for their commitment to the Roseland community and their revitalization efforts.
“The relocation of this clinic is in response to the community’s need to access primary healthcare”, says Wendy Cox, Chief Executive Officer. “The partnership between Chicago Family and Roseland Community Hospital allowed us to expand the access to care for many residents in this community and because of the continued success of the clinic; it became necessary to take the next step of relocating the site. Although the new site will not be within the hospital, it is only a very short distance away, and will still be accessible to patients who seek care in the Roseland Community Hospital.”
The Roseland site is located within the Roseland Medical Center, 120 W. 111th Street, Chicago. In addition to the CFHC site, physicians from Roseland Community Hospital as well as dialysis services will be provided in the Roseland Medical Center.
“This new medical office building, the first in over 30 years in the Roseland community, is part of the community’s efforts to bring these much needed services to Chicago’s south side,” noted Leon Walker, Manager of DL3 Realty. “The tenants of the new center include Roseland Community Hospital (specialty doctor’s offices), Fresenius Medical Care of IL (dialysis clinic) and Chicago Family Health Center will anchor this new center and will increase the access to care for the residents of the Roseland community.”
