Naomi Ajose, RN, MPA
Director of Special Programs

Naomi Ajose joined CFHC in 1987, and is responsible for several grant- and state-funded programs, including the Hypertension Outreach, Prevention and Education Program, funded by United Way of Metropolitan Chicago. She is working toward implementing The Joint Commission accreditation process at CFHC’s five locations. Ajose is a registered nurse and has a master’s degree in public administration.

Denise Hunter, MHRM, SPHR
Director of Human Resources

Denis Hunter joined CFHC in 2008, and is responsible for implementing human resources policies and programs to support the growth and development of the management and staff. She oversees recruiting and staffing, performance management, benefits and compensation administration, training and development, safety, employee relations, and labor relations.

Kathryn McLain
Senior Director of External Affairs

Kathryn McLain joined CFHC in 2008, and is responsible for implementing a comprehensive grants program and government affairs strategy. She also oversees the development of the organization’s marketing, communications and community affairs programs, strategies and initiatives.

Loraine Moreno, RN
Senior Director of Clinical Affairs

Loraine Moreno joined CFHC as a triage nurse in 1991. Today, she manages the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, providing cancer screenings to 1,200 uninsured and underinsured women. She also oversees a comprehensive Head Start program that makes medical and dental health accessible at 17 Head Start programs designated by the city of Chicago. Moreno manages the provider credentialing process and as CFHC’s privacy officer, she ensures the organization complies with HIPAA and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act requirements.

Amy Rodriguez
Senior Director of Finance, Assistant Treasurer

Amy Rodriguez joined CFHC as an intake secretary and bookkeeping clerk in 1981. Today, she oversees the organization’s reimbursement process, revenue, managed care billing and cash, and is responsible for a financial department staff of eight, as well as assisting in managing the operational budget.

 Francis Tham, DDS
 Dental Director

Francis Tham joined CFHC in November, 1985. He provides    leadership for the implementation of dental services and oversees all dental operations at the center’s four dental facilities. Dr. Tham is responsible for recruitment and staffing of dental personnel and manages the functions of the dentists and dental hygienists.

 

Maria Vargas
Director of Comprehensive Services

Maria E. Vargas is a registered nurse who joined CFHC in 1993. Today, she is director of comprehensive services and is responsible for managing several grant-funded programs that provide health and human services to mothers, families and children. These programs provide prenatal care as well as care for infants, children and wards of the state. She also oversees health education, nutrition and social services programs at CFHC.
